Okay, I know the title is a little much….no it is way too much but I hope you take 2 minutes to read below to get my message.
It has been a few months since I last posted something and for that I am truly embarrassed. I could come up with all kinds of reasons and excuses but I will save both you and me the time.
It wasn’t until yesterday that I watched a great little video that was all of 5 minutes long but it certainly hit home with me and that is why I am finally back in the game so to speak.
The video was by the well known “Law of Attraction” expert, John Assaraf. He alluded to that fact that 99.9% of those who live by the ‘Law of Attraction’ are actually NOT using it properly.
His video discussed a few other great ideas but the one that stuck with me was the word ‘Attraction’
Bottom line is that you need to take ‘Action’. We can make all the vision boards or dream boards, do daily affirmations, write out our long term and short term goals but when this is all said and done…… we still need to take ACTION!
Mr Assaraf made the connection with the word ‘Action’ in that it is found in the word ‘Attraction’ of Law of Attraction.
I want to take things a step further make you aware of another word found in ‘Attraction’ and that is ‘Traction’. Once you take ‘Action’ there will be some ‘Traction’ that will follow. BUT and this is a biggy, if you stop or slow down for one minute you will begin to lose your ‘Traction’
I am guilty of this and well aware of it. I worked at things consistently for well over a year but then slowed down and took a break. I thought that I needed it and for health reasons, I certainly did, but know it is time to once again take ‘action’ and begin creating some ‘traction’…..
So the big question is who is with me? Who wants to begin doing daily activities that will get you where you want to go and accomplish all of your goals one at a time. I am ready to take ACTION and once I get some TRACTION, look out!
Cheers – Steve

An interesting insight, Steve, and excellent food for thought. Lest we forget, though, that just like any machine, there are those times when we do need to slow down a little, perhaps even stop for awhile, cool the engines, refuel, do a little maintenance, and then be ready to get back in the race. As long as we keep our foundation (our track) in top shape and not allow it to get muddy and worn, then we’ll regain our traction in no time.
Thanks for the kind words, Steve. You are so right in that there are times that warrant some rest and relaxation. Thanks again for stopping by. Cheers – Steve
Steve,
Great reminder that sitting on your laurels is not going to get you where you desire to go in life. Movement is required. Find your passion, put your attention on it, take action when it’s presented to you and don’t sweat it!

Thanks Val. Without Action, there will be no Traction! Look forward to learning from you in the days and weeks ahead. Cheers – Steve
Hi Steve,
Great to meet you as part of the tribe! Your blog is looking pretty cool! Great work
Action is very important and it’s fairly easy to spend all day kicking tyres if we aren’t careful.
I find having a plan for the week and day is very powerful for me. Also, to stay focused on one thing until it’s finished and switch off IM’s and email is possible whilst working on most important tasks.

I completely agree Steve. I think we waste so much time trying to get the perfect plan in place that we completely neglect what is really important…creating something of value. I appreciate the thoughts!
I think we need to fail forward. Some live by the saying, “Ready, Aim, Fire” but instead I think we need to live by the saying, “Ready, Fire, Aim”…. Cheers – Steve
What a great play on words! Appreciate the inspiration. I’ll keep taking steps every day towards my goals.
